The Brook Student Weekend is a weekend long event for all 6th - 12th grade students. The weekend takes place February 28 - March 1. Students will enjoy large group sessions together, experience community groups split by grade and gender, and enjoy free time around the retreat site. The weekend will conclude Sunday morning at The Brook Church. All students will be attending the 11:00pm service together in the main worship center.
When you serve as a volunteer for The Brook Student Weekend, you get to be a part of the next generation deepening their faith! We love seeing our adults engage with the students of The Brook Church.
We have three opportunities to serve throughout the weekend:
The role of the driver during the weekend is simply to help transport students Friday night from the church to the retreat site, and then Sunday morning from the retreat site back to the church. All drivers must be of the age 21+ Drivers must have a current driver's license and Insurance. A copy must be made and given to The Brook staff. Driver must have a reliable vehicle that has recently passed State inspection.
Those who are on the food crew will help in providing, preparing, or delivering food for our students throughout the weekend. We will send out more info on this role as students begin signing up for the event.
Community Group Leader
The leader will stay with the students at the retreat site from Friday evening until after the last Sunday morning session. The leader is responsible for studying, preparation and leading of the bible study during the weekend.
My student has a friend going to the weekend as well, can they be in the same group?
Yes! On their registration form there is a place to request a friend to be in their group.
Where will I be dropping off my student for the event?
Check-in for the weekend will start at 6:00pm at The Brook Church Community.
We will be leaving for Huntsville, TX at 6:30pm.
When will I pickup my student after the weekend is over?
The weekend will conclude Sunday morning at The Brook Church.
All students will be attending the 11:00am service together in the main worship center. Parents may pick up their student after the conclusion of the service that morning.
When will I find out what group my student is in?
We will be finalizing student groups and sending out more details the week of February 10th.
My student has something else going on during the weekend, can I pick up them and bring them back?

What should my student bring with them to the event?
We will be sending out a what to bring list the week of the event.
