Partnering with Parents

Partnering with Parents

"And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down and when you rise." Deuteronomy 6:6-7

Where to Start?

Kids @ The Brook believe in building up children in Jesus Christ is not only done at the church but also at home.  Therefore, we partner with families to equip them with tools and resources to support their spiritual growth for the whole family.
  • Pick a consistent service time to help your kids build a relationship with their consistent teachers/leaders and other kids their age.
  • Practice the current Scripture memorization with your kids.
  • Stay connected to Kids @ The Brook by following us on Instagram and Facebook Page.
  • Build relationships with other Kids @ The Brook parents by joining a Small Group.
  • Pray for your children daily, as they go to school, come home and come to church.
  • Pray for our volunteers as they serve and care for your kids.
  • Create opportunities for family time and making connections with your kids through games, dinner, sports and Bible Reading.
  • Pick up the devotion material after each Kid's Sunday class.

Resources and Support

Parenting is something that is either new to us, changing or evolving each day.
Here are some helpful tools to help you in your journey as a parent.

Leading to Salvation

The best moment in a parent's life is when their child(ren) accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Jesus says we are to come to Him like little children. We work with parents to help teach children about the Word of God. One of the ways we do this is by providing an at home guide through the scriptures about how to believe, rely and trust in Jesus Christ.

After accepting Jesus as Lord and Savior, the next step is baptism. There are many different thoughts about baptism through out the age. Below is a study guide of what we believe at the Brook Church. When  you and your child and family are ready you can find out more information here.

Family Dedication

Family dedication is when a family chooses to dedicate a child or their whole family to the Lord.  It is a special moment for families and friends to show support in raising a child and family in Jesus Christ.
If you are interested in having a family dedication, please email Acting Kids Ministry Director: Jessica Hale

The Parent Podcast

Part of partnering with parents is equipping them to become effective disciple-makers in the home. One way we do this is through our Parent Podcast.
